This Wakefield job skills course helps you build the skills you need to find a job and succeed at work. You will learn how to write CVs and cover letters, prepare for interviews and how to use online job sites. There are practical activities to help you feel confident in real-life job situations. You’ll also learn about professional behaviour, communication, and your rights at work.

Employability Skills

Induction: 23rd and 24th April, 10am – 12pm.

Course runs: Tuesdays 9.30am-12noon, 13th May – 10th June 2025.

Cost: Free if you are aged 19+, on a low income, receiving benefits.

Currently taking part in crafting there. Food is extremely good value in the cafe - £1 for a cup of tea. They put a lot on for the local community

Great community centre! Always lots on here ranging from cscs courses, sia courses and lots more with friendly, helpful staff who go out of there way to make sure you get what you need or a way to help. The on site cafe/snack bar is cheap and has a good selection. Also has a food bank and close by is a nursery and st George's church itself. Give these a try see for yourself x
