This Wakefield Maths course helps you to build everyday maths skills. You’ll learn through real-life examples, like managing your budget and doing daily tasks. It’s a great step if you want to move into work or further study. The course is practical and easy to follow. It shows employers you have the essential maths skills they value.

Functional Skills Qualification in Maths (Entry 2)

Induction: 23rd and 24th April, 10am – 12pm.

Course runs: Mondays 9.30am-12noon, 12th May – 28th July 2025.

Cost: Free if you are aged 19+, on a low income, receiving benefits.

Currently taking part in crafting there. Food is extremely good value in the cafe - £1 for a cup of tea. They put a lot on for the local community

Great community centre! Always lots on here ranging from cscs courses, sia courses and lots more with friendly, helpful staff who go out of there way to make sure you get what you need or a way to help. The on site cafe/snack bar is cheap and has a good selection. Also has a food bank and close by is a nursery and st George's church itself. Give these a try see for yourself x
