Befrienders

Are you a good listener?  Would you like to encourage people to overcome barriers through friendly, supportive conversation?  Join us as a volunteer befriender!

 

What will I be doing as a befriender?

  • Phone a local person and be a listening ear,
  • Meet with a local person to help build their confidence and support them to get out to local groups and activities.

 

We will support you through:

  • Training,
  • A named contact for catch-ups,
  • Providing a reference,
  • Regular volunteer coffee mornings.
