Book Club Volunteer

Are you passionate about helping people, know your local community and want to make a difference?  Do you enjoy reading?

You could be a great fit for this volunteer role!

What will I be doing?

  • Helping to set up the room (chairs and tables),
  • Reading and chatting about the books,
  • Sourcing new books to read,
  • Taking refreshment orders if necessary,
  • Taking a register.

What is the time commitment?

Monday mornings, weekly or fortnightly.

Who will I be volunteering with?

St. George’s staff and other volunteers.

Who will support me?

Our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Keri.

What do you need from me?

  • An interest in reading;
  • The ability to ensure confidentiality;
  • Passionate about helping people in the local community;
  • Flexible, reliable & trustworthy;
  • Willing to work alongside other volunteers and staff;
  • Able to follow our Safeguarding policies (full training will be provided).
