Volunteer Café/ Catering Assistant

Do you enjoy helping others in the local community?  Come volunteer in our community café and support our catering team!

What will I be doing?

  • Preparing meals,
  • Providing refreshments,
  • Washing up,
  • Chatting to members of the public.

Where will I be volunteering?

St George’s Community Centre, Broadway, Lupset, Wakefield WF2 8AA.

What is the time commitment?

Wednesdays, 9:30am-1:30pm.

Who will I be volunteering with?

Kirsty, our Café Assistant, and other volunteers.

Who will support me?

Our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Keri and other St George’s staff.

What do you need from me?

  • The ability to ensure confidentiality,
  • Compassionate and able to treat those in need with dignity and respect,
  • Passionate about helping people in the local community,
  • Flexible, reliable & trustworthy,
  • Willing to work alongside other volunteers and staff to ensure the smooth running of the Community Café,
  • Able to follow our Safeguarding policies (full training will be provided).
