Reflecting on the impact of volunteering

Today we’re publishing our Lupset Inspiring Volunteer Engagement (L.I.V.E.) Report for 2022-23.

The report looks at the impact of volunteering across our organisation and the second year of the L.I.V.E. project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund’s Reaching Communities England programme. As part of this work we spoke to our community one-to-one and via surveys, and this is what some of them had to say:

Thank you St George’s for helping me to overcome despair, to living a life worthwhile doing something rewarding that I love.

Art Group volunteer

Thank you for all the kindness and compassion you have given at what has been a difficult time… I am grateful for the help and warmth you have provided.

Food Pantry member

Our volunteers and their skills and abilities are as varied as the volunteers themselves. Holiday club supporters, after school activities work, art and emotional well-being facilitators to name some… So many of our children now have valuable, trusted relationships with volunteers from within their own community- simply priceless.
