We offer a range of support and advice services at St George’s. This includes our food and clothing provision, plus drop-in sessions with local organisations.
St George’s provides emergency food parcels and runs a food pantry service.
Emergency food parcels
We provide food parcels in an emergency situation. For example: a job loss, relationship breakdown or an unexpected bill.
Please note: we do not take self-referrals for emergency food parcels. Our trusted local referrers will send people to us for this support. If you are in need of this support you get a referral from services such as Citizens Advice.
Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry membership scheme provides longer term support. We aim to offer dignity, choice and hope to those struggling financially. This might be helpful if you are:
Members pay £5 per week and can choose items from our store. They have the choice of approximately 25 or more items of food, cleaning materials and toiletries. Items will include fresh, frozen, dried and tinned goods. On average this weekly shop would be valued at £30-40 if purchased from a supermarket. Money saved can then be spent on whatever the member wishes, such as paying off a debt or getting ahead with bills.
You can self-refer to this service, or be referred by one of our trusted referrers. Membership is reviewed every 12 weeks.

The Walk-In Wardrobe supports members of our community to access clothes, uniforms, toiletries and sanitary items. The wardrobe is usually open for appointments on Fridays. Other days can be arranged based on your needs and availability.
To access the wardrobe or to make a donation please contact Lesley lesley.stables@stgeorgeslupset.org.uk or call us on 01924 369631.

We also run quarterly ‘One-Stop Pop-Ups’ where an even wider variety of services gather at St George’s with information stalls. This is a great way to find out more about what help is available to you and your loved ones. We also offer free food and drink to attendees.
